We warmly welcome you to Victorian Village Resort in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, a vacation destination for over 100 years! Ken and Judy Salzwedel purchased the original Schwartz Hotel, established in the 1880's, (which later became Barefoot Bay in the 1980's) in May of 1999, and completed the amazing renovations that make this lakeside resort so special. Check in at our Lobby, a renovated century old cottage with a charming screen porch, pictured above.
Whether you are vacationing with family or friends, planning your wedding or family reunion, enjoying the excitement at Road America's international race track or planning a getaway for girlfriends or golf buddies, you will love it here! We have lovely landscaped grounds on 600 ' of sandy beachfront, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool and hot tub, The Back Porch Bistro, a lakeside restaurant open year round, our very popular and fun Barefoot Tiki Bar overlooking the lake ~ open daily all summer long serving casual food and drinks with free live music on weekends, a Theatre that hosts weddings, special events, shows and music, and Watersports for boating, fishing, tubing, water skiing, kayaking or a nice sunset cocktail cruise.
You can walk downtown for eclectic shopping, art galleries, restaurants worthy of foodies, lively taverns, a world class spa and Elkhart's Saturday morning Farmer's Market. Or, golf at Quit Qui Oc golf course only 1 mile away. Everything's so close by in this charming walkabout town.
